As we celebrate National Indigenous Month, we at MSVU Students’ Union would like to recognize the important contributions of Indigenous people to our country. From the earliest days of the nation’s founding to the present, Indigenous people have been central to the growth and development of Canada and its diverse culture.
Today and every day, we honour the history, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. We recognize their resilience, strength, and unwavering dedication to ensuring that their ways of life live on.
In celebration of National Indigenous Month, we encourage you to explore the rich history of Indigenous peoples in the country.
